About

CurrantWorks Architecture + Design was founded on an ethos of adaptability, listening to clients and context, and genuine curiosity for the design journey and its unfolding destination.

The practice approaches each design problem by listening to stakeholders and contextual cues of the challenge at hand, whether its a private residence, an institutional structure, or an urban intervention. The jumping off point for a rigorous, pattern-driven process is often nature’s free materials - sunshine and the topography. We always seek to find and share our delight in bringing a vision to realization as we discover the hidden synergies within a project, collaborate with clients and colleagues, and realize quality environments that are beautiful, functional and delightful for their users.

CurrantWorks is led by Anna Currant, a licensed architect and LEED accredited professional in California. Anna graduated as a summa cum laude Regents Scholar from the University of California, Los Angeles after which she went on to complete the Master of Architecture program at the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Her commitment to conceptually rigorous design has taken her across the globe to work in leading architectural practices including Skidmore, Owings and Merrill, HHF Architekten, Clinton Murray Architects and Efrat-Kowalsky Architects. Working in England, Switzerland, Australia, Israel and the United States, her range of experience includes a full spectrum of building types.

Anna lives with her entrepreneurial husband and two children and in addition to her family, enjoys the Bay Area’s natural beauty, delicious food, and creative communities.
